Bat Trang pottery village busy before Year of the Horse

On these days, Bat Trang Pottery Village has seen lots of tourists. They flocked to the village to buy as well as to take photos of its special pottery products for the coming 2014 Luna New Year Festival.
 
To prepare for Tet holiday, the local artisans in Bat Trang Pottery village produce not only traditional products of big-bellied jars, statues and ceramic mosaics, but also pottery and plaster horses so as to satisfy the increasing demands of customers. According to a local craftsman, because the lunar year 2014 is the Year of Horse, these products related to horse are “most-wanted”. A large number of customers choose plaster horses at the price of between VND 10,000 and VND 150,000.

Visitors coming to Bat Trang will have chance to listen to an introduction of Bat Trang’s history and its crafts, together with learning to make pottery products. There is variety of pottery products available to sell for visitors, especially the pottery horse at different prices.
