Cave tourism boosted in Quang Binh Province
In the hope of attracting more and more visitors to the “Kingdom of Caves” –
Quang Binh province, the cave tourism of this central province was set up in Hanoi on December 23rd. Located in Quang Binh Province, the
Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park was recognized as World’s Natural Heritage by UNESCO in 2003. The park is a karst area, the formation of which was evolved some 400 million years ago. More than 300 caves of all sizes was founded in the national park, including
Son Doong, Phong Nha, Tien Son, Thien Duong, En, Tot, Thach Thuy and Tu Lan caves.

Quang Binh Province offers variety of tours to travel around the park and to explore the system of caves, notably tours to the largest cave in the world of Son Doong. Furthermore,
helicopter tours to discover a land of Quang Binh will be launched, contributing to improve the provincial tourism. All day tours promise to allure a huge number of both domestic and foreign visitors.
Besides Phong Nha – Ke Bang, Quang Binh is also endowed with spectacular natural landscapes such as Nhat Le, Quang Phu, Bao Ninh and Da Nhay beaches. The central province is home to Bang mineral hot spring with the temperature of outflow water ranges at 105 Degree Celsius. In addition, the highlighted destinations for visitors comprises the commemorative house of beloved General Vo Nguyen Giap (in Le Thuy district), along with his resting place Vung Chua – Dao Yen (in Bo Trach district). Up to now, it is estimated that the central province of Quang Binh has welcomed 1.2 million domestic and foreign visitors.
