Fireworks to brighten Hanoi sky on Lunar New Year’s Eve

                                                    The fireworks will brighten the Hanoi's sky on the New Year's Eve

Hanoi People’s Committee planned to organize fireworks shows at 29 places in Hanoi, including five high-range and 24 low-range shows in the evening of Vietnamese Lunar New Year.

Five famous sites are authorized to hold high-range fireworks show including Hoan Kiem lake (in front of the Hanoi Post Office and the headquarters of the New Ha Noi Newspaper), Thong Nhat Park (Hai Ba Trung District), Lac Long Quan flower garden (Tay Ho District), Van Quan Lake (Ha Dong district) and My Dinh Stadium (Tu Liem District), of which the Hoan Kiem Lake will act as the center of the New Year’s Eve fireworks show. 500 shots are expected to be released at each place in total 15 minutes.

Additionally, 24 low-range fireworks shows will be held in the centers of the districts of Ba Dinh, Hoang Mai, Long Bien, Dong Da, Cau Giay, Thanh Xuan, Gia Lam, Me Linh, Ba Vi, Dan Phuong, Thach That, Chuong My, Thuong Tin, Quoc Oai, Phu Xuyen, My Duc, Ung Hoa, Dong Anh, Soc Son, Phuc Tho, Thanh Oai, Hoai Duc, Thanh Tri and Son Tay town.

So as to create chance for locals to prepare for Vietnamese Lunar Tet, the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade will also hold 54 spring flower markets, including 24 markets in the inner area and 30 in suburbs from January 18th to 30th.
