Hanoi voted as the 2nd cheapest city for tourists

The well-known and prestige Trip Advisor has
voted Hanoi as the second cheapest city for tourists among 49 surveyed destinations worldwide, just after Sofia of Bulgaria.
According to Trip Advisor, the result is carried out based on the total cost of one night stay in a four-star hotel, a dinner for two with one bottle of wine and two-way taxi fee for the distance of 3.2km. As consequence, the average cost in Hanoi is 176.14 USD, compared to 158.42 USD in Sofia; whereas, Oslo is the most expensive city with 581.08 USD. Recently, the 2.5 millionth foreign visitor, a Japanese tourist, has travelled to Hanoi in December 2013. Additionally, the city also set the target of welcoming about 2.8 million foreign tourists in the following year of 2014. (Source VNA) |
