The travel website Munube has recently praised Hoi An ancient town as one of the World’s Top 50 cities which you must visit during your lifetime. It is the only destination of Vietnam named in the list.

Situated 30km south of Da Nang City, the ancient town of Hoi An used to be an international busiest trading port by sea on the East area in the 16th and 17th centuries. Not only be the typical image of beautiful landscape and wonderful cuisine, the ancient town is also an important meeting place of many cultures and architectures such as Champa, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Japanese and Chinese.

The best time should be visit Hoi An is from February to Apri as the weather is really comfortable with not much rain. If you are planning to travel Hoi An one day, you are highly recommended to stay in the town on 14th month in lunar calendar and enjoy the Mid-Autumn Festival. This occasion is chance for you to join traditional songs, dance, play traditional games as well as to see the colorful lanterns over ancient streets.
