Hoi An prepares for Cultural Heritage Day
On the celebration of the Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Day (on 23rd November) and the 14th anniversary of Hoi An Ancient Town acknowledged as a World Cultural Heritage (November 1999 – November 2013), the Hoi An People’s Committee has conducted to launch the plan of organizing various activities in order to promote the
charming image of Hoi An as well as to raise the locals’ awareness of preserving and protecting cultural heritage values and sustainable tourism development.

![]() Phuc Kien Assembly Halls - a popular stop-over for any Hoi An city tours Besides, the Committee together with relevant agencies will have discussion on the management, preservation and upholding of the relic’s values. According to the Hoi An Centre of Heritage Conservation and Management, lots of activities will be carried out, including a photo exhibition on Vietnam’s natural and cultural heritages; photo gallery on “Hoi An – Old and Current City”; and children’s pictures on local cultural heritage, etc. Remarkably, the city will offer free tickets for those who come to visit the ancient town on the day of December 4th. Hoi An city tours are free for students. |
