Hue Festival 2014 tickets start from April

According to the organizers of the Hue Festival 2014, the ticket prices for various events in the festival will start from April 12nd 2014.

In detail, tickets for the opening ceremony held at Ngo Mon Gate on April 12 cost VND300,000 (USD14) and the closing ceremony at Gia Hoi Park on April 20 at VND200,000. The Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress) pageant on the nights of April 14 and 17 will be charged at VND300,000, while the art shows at Dai Noi (Hue Imperial Citadel) and An Dinh Palace have a same price of VND100,000. Those travelling in Hue and joining the Dem Hoang Cung (the Royal Night) with a banquet will be charged VND2 million.

The Deputy Chairman of Thua Thien Hue City’s People’s Committee, Ngo Hoa, also head of the festival's organization board emphasized that although the number of dishes for this year's banquet may be less than last year but they will be the best one and most authentic royal banquets of the Nguyen Dynasty along with royal performances.

Additionally, the Hue Festival will feature the International Food Festival taking place from April 15th to April 19th, 2014 at Phu Xuan Park. It is scheduled that there are over 100 booths displaying and offering dishes from various countries such as Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, South Korea and China.

Particularly, a wide range of free shows will be performed by domestic and international artists from 35 countries during the festival.

With the theme “Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development”, the Hue Festival 2014 is expected to attract a number of 200,000 tourists in the month of April. The festivals also believed to bring unforgettable moments and best experience in Hue.
