New tours launched in Yen Duc Village
Lying on the pathway from
Halong Bay to
Hanoi, the agricultural village of Yen Duc is an ideal place to introduce Vietnamese village culture to international visitors before they end their
tours of Halong Bay. Based on its potential,
Yen Duc village has recently set up new special tours, which help to promote and protect traditional agricultural craft as well as to promote the image of Vietnamese villages.
Many of these tourism products are spending two- or three-day stays watching and joining the unique rural culture including planting water rice, grinding rice and fishing. Coming to the village, visitors will be offered opportunities to go through Vietnamese farmers’ routine as well as to experience the hospitality and traditional Vietnamese culture by visiting ancient pagodas and enjoying folk music. Furthermore, they will even act as real Vietnamese farmers by doing some agricultural activities like planting rice and vegetables, grinding rice and fishing themselves. ![]() Enjoying traditional folk music of Quan Ho in Yen Duc Village ![]() Catching fish in Yen Duc Village After spending time in Yen Duc Village, David Phillips (from Manchester City, UK) says he had a marvelous time staying in a peaceful village with hospitable local people. He also loved the fascinating Vietnamese culture and highly-appreciated how the young generations learn and experience production and daily life from their predecessors. His wife, Susan Phillips, admired the industrious Vietnamese farmers and expressed great kindness to their families. Both of them expected to return to Yen Duc Village along with experiencing other cultural activities in the country. (Source VOVnews) |
