The Marble Mountain (Ngu Hanh Son) in Da Nang, Vietnam

Located about 7 kilometers to the southeast of Da Nang City, the Marble Mountain (Ngu Hanh Son) is on the yellow sand-bank spreading over 2 kilometers in length and 800 meters in width. The tourist site is renowned for the special kind of colored-stones, which are the main source of sculpture and arts.

During the last 15 years, the Ngu Hanh Son became a famous tourism area in the central of Vietnam and has attracted nearly 5.5 million visitors. According to the management board of the tourism area, the number of visitors to the Marble Mountain is up 15% on average.

In 2014, the Marble Mountain is scheduled to welcome a number of 600,000 visitors by launching new night tour to the mountain, depart from Thuy Son Mountain, the biggest mountain in the area. This new tour is hoped to attract more visitors spending night in this area.

Furthermore, the Marble Mountain is one of the must-see attractions for those who travel to the Central of Vietnam. Lying between the big city of Da Nang and the World Heritage Site of Hoi An Ancient Town, this Mountain is an ideal stop-over for a short trip from Da Nang to Hoi An.
