Russian tourists flock to Vietnam in 2013

The recent statistics from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) has shown that Russia ranked the 1st out of all top foreign countries sending visitors to Vietnam. In detail, the number of Russian foreigners traveling to Vietnam is counted to reach 250,000, presenting a year on year of 71 percent.

This is the second consecutive time that Russia places the first position of the top leading countries sending a great number of citizens to Vietnam for tourist purpose.

There are three main reasons why Russian tourists have flocked to Vietnam. Firstly, according to the Association of Tour Operator in Russia (the ATOR), most of the Russian travelers visiting Vietnam since they are allured by the warm sea, wild and beautiful beaches, natural landscapes, along with a wide range of cultural and historical tourist spot, friendly and hospitable local people and healthy and attractive Vietnamese dishes.
