Many cultural activities were organized in Ninh Binh Province and Gia Vien District to honor Trang An Landscape Complex from 22nd to 14th January 2015. The highlight of these activities was the certificate receiving ceremony for Trang An as World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site, the 1st mixed heritage site in Vietnam.  

The ceremony took place at 08:00pm on 23 January 2015 at Conference Centre of Bai Dinh Pagoda (Gia Vien District) with art program “Trang An – Love song of mountains and rivers” featuring the story of Trang An – which is regarded as in unique heritage site not only in Vietnam but also in the Southeast Asia.

Trang An Complex in Ninh Binh

The ceremony organization aimed to honor the global outstanding values of Trang An Landscape Complex; at the same time promote widely tourism potential of Ninh Binh Province, contribute to attracting more and more domestic and international tourists to Trang An Landscape Complex and other attractive tourist sites in Ninh Binh Province. The ceremony is also considered as the opening event to respond to National Tourism Year 2015 – Thanh Hoa with the theme “Connecting World Heritage in Viet Nam”.

On this occasion, many specific culture, sports and tourism activities were held such as exhibition on world heritage in Viet Nam; art photo exhibition with the theme “Trang An Landscape Complex – World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site”; Ninh Binh handicraft and trade village fair 2015; international seminar on management, conservation and promotion of world heritage values; launching and display of stamp collection on Trang An Landscape Complex; presentation and promotion program of attractions, tourism products and services in Ninh Binh; survey program of Trang An Landscape Complex; culture, art, sports activities; exhibition of books, newspapers, publications…
