Vietnam’s record book acknowledges two Sapa tourist attractions
According to the
Lao Cai Province’s Department for Culture, Sports and Tourism,
two famous tourist attractions in Sapa have been listed in Vietnam Records Book, which are O Quy Ho Pass and the terrace field in Vu Lung Sung Hamlet. To celebrate the 110th anniversary of Sapa Tourism Year, a ceremony will take place on November 2nd to present certificates of Vietnam Record to these two tourist attractions in
Sapa.
Famous as the longest pass in Vietnam, O Quy Ho Pass is on Highway 4D running through the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, including 50km lying on the way from Lao Cai to Lai Chau provinces. It is also called Hoang Lien Pass; however, for those who have a great passion for Vietnam Northwest Region, the name of O Quy Ho is preferred. The pass offers opportunities to tourists to admire the imposing and impressive scenes of mountains and forests on the top of the Hoang Lien Mountain Ranges as well as the spectacular Fansipan Peak. Additionally, despite the complex area of terraced fields in Muong Hoa Valley in Lao Chai, Ta Van and Hau Thao Communes are consider the largest with 935.42ha, the Vietnam Record Book only recognized the 121-step-terraced field in Vu Lung Sung Hamlet, Trung Chai Commune, as the most beautiful one. Terrace fields - as a “specialty” of Northwest mountainous area and its beauty are the timeless inspiration for natural lovers and traveller photographers. |
