A Mekong cycling tour is exclusively designed for those who wish to explore Mekong on two wheels. During the three-day tour, you will have the wonderful opportunity to cycle around Tan Phong Island and learn how to do gardening, fishing and growing Bonsai, which will surely help you experience the daily local life on Tan Phong Island. Additionally, the tour also includes a visit to the Cai Be floating market and a visit to the ecotourism garden to enjoy fresh fruits, as well as listening to Don Ca Tai Tu (Southern Folk Music). Last but not least, the Mekong tour on bicycles would not be complete without a 40km road cycling tour to Mekong Rustic in Ben Tren Province.

You will be picked up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City at 09:00. We will then transfer to Binh Phu Intersection (Cai Lay Province).
We arrive in Binh Phu after a two-hour drive at about 11:00. We continue the tour by cycling for 10km and than take a river ferry to reach Tan Phong Island Resort where you will check into your room and enjoy lunch made with fresh local ingredients.
After lunch and a short rest, you will join the cycling tour to discover Tan Phong Island at approximately 14:30. We will also drop in at a local’s house to visit their vegetable and fruit gardens. Afterwards, you will definitely enjoy time catching fish with your hands in the small canals. The lucky tourists, who succeed in catching fish, will than be offered the freshly grilled-fish!
When the sun sets, we will return to the Mekong Rustic Lodge at about 18:00. Dinner will be served after participating in a cooking course where you will learn to make some local foods with fresh ingredients.
Day 2: Cai Be Floating Market – Mekong Rustic Lodge in Ben Tre (B/L/D)
Wake up in the morning to enjoy the fresh air of the resort and have breakfast at 07:30. We will than get on the boat to the Cai Be Floating Market to experience the river life of the Mekong people at 08:00. As the boat travels along the Mekong River, you can observe the daily activities of people living on the riverbanks.
Afterwards, we will transfer to rowing boats to visit the Mekong canals and then return to the (ferry?) boat to come back to Tan Phong Island for checkout.
The 2nd day of our trip in the Mekong continues with a 40-km bicycle ride passing through lush orchards. Take a rest at Vuon Dua Restaurant before cycling to Ben Tre Province, where you will visit the Mekong Rustic Lodge in Ben Tre. Lunch is served with local cuisine.
In the afternoon, you will cycle to the local market, learn how to cook some local food with coconut and try fishing activities.

Day 3: Mekong Rustic Lodge in Ben Tre – Ho Chi Minh City (B/L)
Enjoy some free time in Mekong Rustic Lodge relaxing or cycling around our lodge and discover more about the local people’s lives. Also take some time to enjoy the fresh air or buy a souvenir.
Have a lunch of local food, checkout and then head back to Ho Chi Minh City by bus.
